The Third Sunday in Lent

March 23/24, 2019

IMPORTANT PARISH NOTICES

For the Week of March 23-29, 2019

Bonjour!  Direct from Paris Le Cafe St. Marie will open its doors once again to offer a spectacular, hand made, artisan, pancake breakfast for the enjoyment of the Parish on Sunday, March 31, between after each Mass.  The breakfast will be hosted by our own juventud parroquial (aka parish youth).  All proceeds will go towards the purchase of more chairs for the hall.  Be sure not to miss the world class cuisine, scintillating conversation with the other guests and the gracious ambiance and convenience of our very own Salle Paroissial (aka Parish Hall).  Bon Appetite!

THEOLOGY KETTLE

"The Mass"

A special "Theology Kettle" will be provided during Lent entitled "The Mass".

PARISH BREAKFAST PLANNED FOR

SUNDAY, MARCH 31

The program will be presented beginning on Wednesday, March 13, at 5:00 pm in the Hall.  "The Mass" is a lecture series by Bishop Robert Barron which will offer a walk through the Liturgy to help us understand how the Mass brings us out of the fallen world and into the heavenly realm and how it provides a call from God and a response from his people.  "The Mass" will help you to more fully, consciously and actively participate in the source and summit of our Christian life.  The program will be directed by Rita Beebe.

LENT SOUP-INS

Two 'soup ins' are planned for Fridays, March 29 and April 12, after the Stations of the Cross at 6:00 pm in the Hall.  These Friday evening events will be potluck soup suppers so please bring a meatless soup and/or some bread to share.  These light meals are an ideal way to end the week in a calm and enjoyable setting with fellow parishioners.  The internet has some great meatless soup recipes so be sure to check them out!

Our Mission…

To celebrate God's presence in our midst by Mass, Sacraments, and Prayer;
To live Christ's love by serving others, especially the poor, neglected, and suffering;
To grow in the truths and values of our Catholic Tradition, teach them to our children, and proclaim them to those who do not know them.

20 HOUR ADORATION WILL BE HELD

DURING LENT

20 Hour Adoration will be held beginning at 12:30 pm Friday afternoons until 9:00 am on Saturday mornings in the church throughout Lent except on Good Friday.  All are welcome!
